Subject: narrow applicability of DNS server conf

Are you all aware that the applicability of, so called "stateless",
DNS server configuration is extremely narrow?

The assumption is that a client host is not registered to DNS
but want to use DNS to access its peer.

However, the peer, having DNS service, often expect its peer (the
original host) registered to DNS and, otherwise, terminate
comunication. With more DoS, more hosts will deploy such policy.

So, most, if not all, hosts want to be registered to DNS, which
means certain amount of configuration, where full DHCP will be
used for autoconfiguration.
