because rob is shy and i raised some of them and another rather
fundamental one. what i really need to know is the unique identity
of the server who gave me the result i just received in response to
a 'normal' query. this is especially needed in an environment
where servers may be anycast. this may be an edns thing.

i.e., why do i care what broken version of software some server is
running if i am not sure it is the server which gave me the result?
