i will be unable to attend

the dns-dir has advised the ads on options for a plan.  we plan to
discsuss this in the dnsext meeting.  essentially, it is

  o the inter-op and tool shake-out workshop has been scheduled
    and arranged.  same participants as the successful dynamic
    dns workshop.

  o if that is successful, which is measured by
    - dns software works
    - tools work
    - documents produced
    - a la the dynamic dns workshop
    then the document set will be frozen

  o we will then evaluate whether opt-in can be reasonably and
    safely added in a matter of a month or two.  doubts continue
    to increase, and will also be covered in the dnsext meeting.

  o we will then decide whether to go with or without opt-in, in
    either case the goal is deployment this year.
