Query about DNS server operation...
Hi, I don't know whether this is the right place to ask this question, so I apologize in advance if its not. My question is this - when a DNS server responds to a clients query, is it required to have the question section from the query replicated in its response? And apart from the "requirement" part, do existing name servers replicate the question section in their responses? In short, is it safe to assume that the response will contain the question section intact, while also providing the answer (if any)... Please mail me at kedar@hiqnetworks.com. Thanx in advance..
